(Louisville, KY) - Judas Priest's 50th anniversary tour is being postponed while guitarist Richie Faulkner recovers from a ruptured aorta suffered while in Louisville.

Faulkner told fans on Tuesday he suffered an "aortic aneurysm" while the band played the Louder Than Life rock music festival at the Kentucky Expo Center last month.

UofL Health says Faulkner was rushed to the Rudd Heart and Lung Center where he underwent a nearly eleven-hour open-heart surgery.  He suffered the medical emergency while playing the song Painkiller.
