LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- UPS will make Thunder Over Louisville history while promoting equality in aviation.
The shipping giant will be the first participant in Thunder Over Louisville history to have an all-female crew fly and prepare the Boeing 757 that will be used.
Assistant Chief Pilot Frances Perryman says its a personal honor to be selected to the crew and it makes it that much more special that it is an all-female crew.
Aircraft Maintenance Technician Stella Burton hopes their role in Thunder will show other women that a career in aviation is possible.
Perryman says they plan to show off the low speed flight capabilities of the 757 before making a high speed pass of the riverfront.
