LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A man is dead after getting hit by a car on the Watterson Expressway Tuesday morning.
LMPD says it happened on the westbound Watterson near Bardstown Road where a man in his 20's was hit by a Jeep Liberty. LMPD spokeswoman Alicia Smiley says the driver of the Jeep remained at the scene while the man was taken to University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Smiley says there are no charges expected and the LMPD Traffic Unit is investigating the accident.
