AG Responds to Governor's Request for Information

FRANKFORT, Ky. --The Attorney General is using a request from the Governor as an opportunity to showcase one of his best offices.

Governor Bevin sent the Attorney General's office a request for information regarding the office of civil and environmental law.

In a conference, Attorney General Andy Beshear reported the office of civil and environmental law was "one of the best values across state government", returning over $200 million dollars in value in 2016.

Beshear said he held the conference to ensure there was no confusion and to show his office's transparency.

Bevin did not say what the reasoning behind the request was.
