LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The Louisville Bats will have some major league talent on the diamond Friday night. 

Cincinnati Reds second baseman Brandon Phillips will make his first career appearance with a Reds minor league team when makes a rehab appearance with the Bats as they take on Indianapolis. The three time All-Star is recovering from surgery on his left thumb as a result of diving for a ball on July 10. The Reds have not determined when Phillips will return to the major league roster.
