A Former Kentuckian Will Lead The National Broadcast Of The Quaker State 400

SPARTA, Ky. -- As the Sprint Cup rolls into Kentucky this weekend, a Kentucky native will lead the television coverage.

Former Owensboro resident Adam Alexander is the lead announcer for NASCAR on TNT and will have the call of Saturday night's Quaker State 400 at Kentucky Speedway. He says the new "Chase For The Sprint Cup" format makes a win at Kentucky huge for any driver who wants to be a part of the new format.

Alexander says the bumpy track at Kentucky is something drivers look forward to, saying it gives them a chance to show off their skills with the car. He says coming home is motivation for the drivers with Kentucky connections and says Owensboro native and car owner Michael Waltrip has a good chance to end the night in victory lane.
