(Yahoo!) - Taylor Swift is even more "nice and tall and pretty" in real life than she is on the TV screen.
Grace Markel, a devoted 7-year-old Swiftie, made that assessment after meeting the singer backstage before Swift's Nashville concert on Saturday.
The do-gooder songstress surprised the little girl from Columbia, Missouri, and her parents, Amy and Will, after hearing that Grace recently had a terrible accident. The young fan had just arrived at a Swift concert in Chicago on August 10, and was climbing out of a taxi when she was struck by a speeding driver going 30 miles per hour in an SUV, according to People. Grace ended up in the hospital for two days, with two skull fractures, a left orbital fracture, multiple head lacerations, a severe concussion, and road rash over her face and body, but, thankfully, is recovering.
The patient is doing so well, in fact, that her parents wanted to try once again to treat her to a night of Taylor, and snagged tickets to the singer's September 21 show in Music City.
However, the highlight of the evening came before the show even began when Swift, 23, surprised Grace by bringing her backstage.
"Taylor greeted Grace by her name and immediately knelt down and hugged her," Amy Markel told the magazine. "She told Grace she had a cold and asked Grace to sing extra loud to help her out."
She even autographed her young fan's Taylor Swift T-shirt with a sweet message that read, "I heart Grace! Taylor."
Grace's mom added that the meeting was "just a warm and genuine exchange that made it feel like time has stopped, and it was just the two of them."
Sounds like material for a new Swift song!
